Launchpad+ / EMI North Partnership
In September 2023, Launchpad+ partnered with EMI North to establish a new record label, to sit alongside the existing distribution, publishing and neighbouring rights services it provides.
The new label will allow Launchpad+ to continue to grow those artists at a tipping point of major success, building teams and delivering more extensive campaigns. Starting slowly with a small roster, artists who have an existing relationship with Launchpad+ and receiving regular national airplay, press coverage, DSP playlist, high profile live appearances and with a significant plan / body of work will be considered for releases via the label.
The Launchpad+ label will launch with the signing of Hull rapper Chiedu Oraka, and is overseen by Music Local Director whiskas, founder of legendary Leeds label Dance To The Radio, and Simon Rix of Kaiser Chiefs & Holy Moly Management supported by Project Coordinator Claire Hamilton.
